Mikel Richter, DC

Chiropractic

Dr. Richter grew up in a small southern Utah town, spending his childhood snowboarding, rock climbing, and playing baseball. Shortly after his competitive days, he embarked on his health and fitness career.

He first obtained Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialist certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. It was while working as a trainer at a gym owned by a chiropractor, whose practice was right next door, that Dr. Richter first saw the benefits of a multidisciplinary approach to injury recovery and health, and found his passion. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While gaining additional health and fitness experience he completed a Master’s degree in Sport Science and Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Nutrition in Human Performance. He ultimately obtained a Doctorate in Chiropractic.

After gaining a few years of experience in a private sports medicine practice, Dr. Richter was named the Director of Clinical Development for a Texas-based provider group, where he was responsible for the training, practice coaching, and continuing education of over 200 doctors and 150 rehabilitation specialists. Dr. Richter has also authored over 500 pages of clinical practice guidelines on evaluating and managing muscle and joint injuries and has been referenced as a subject matter expert in over 350 legal proceedings. After years of teaching and training Dr. Richter is excited to do what he loves: helping others get back to doing what they love.

Dr. Richter and his wife were married in 2005 and have 3 beautiful children together. In his spare time, Dr. Richter enjoys reading, golfing, powerlifting, and trying to keep up with his kids.
